Much of MadGods inspiration is derived from the remnants of past culture. These veins of originality are no longer with us in the form of authentic style and rebellion that existed in the formative years of youth culture, music, skateboarding and the independent artist. Most only recognize the patterns left in the wake of original influence.

MadGods has always taken a fondness to the interpretation of our own subcultures by foreign voyeurs, more specifically, the methodical breakdown of western music and skateboarding imagery and styles by Japanese Otaku cool hunters at the turn of the millennium. Using this fondness as a filter of sorts, we touch on realms of thought that we once believed were slowly becoming extinct with a new generation of youth that don’t remember a world before the internet. Using a familiar aesthetic, we perfect the art of dressing sheep in wolf’s clothing.

So I gotta say thank you to everyone who came and apologize to all those who I failed to make sure was there. I had my head up my ass trying to get ready for the week and mass emails and myspace blasts just weren’t going down like that. This party was amazing. It really was. A highlight in a career of great events for me and the best kickoff possible to the week of SXSW. Nothin for nothin this was on some nerd out shit for me and a lot of people who attended. But no joke the party was on some legendary crazy sexy cool shit. I’m still getting hit up with compliments and bewilderment. I’ll have more to post when I get the pics and info but again- if you came, saw or had any part in pulling this thing off- THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
