Much of MadGods inspiration is derived from the remnants of past culture. These veins of originality are no longer with us in the form of authentic style and rebellion that existed in the formative years of youth culture, music, skateboarding and the independent artist. Most only recognize the patterns left in the wake of original influence.

MadGods has always taken a fondness to the interpretation of our own subcultures by foreign voyeurs, more specifically, the methodical breakdown of western music and skateboarding imagery and styles by Japanese Otaku cool hunters at the turn of the millennium. Using this fondness as a filter of sorts, we touch on realms of thought that we once believed were slowly becoming extinct with a new generation of youth that don’t remember a world before the internet. Using a familiar aesthetic, we perfect the art of dressing sheep in wolf’s clothing.

Behind the Scenes with Nadia

February 22nd, 2012

For this edition of behind the scenes photoshoot with Heels and Candy we enlisted the help of video production outfit DOOKIEVIZION to pull together the editing and music direction. Our boy Eric Morgan, aka Mos of Killeen based outfit Crew54, laced us lovely with the edits and, of course, our model Nadia did her thing for the camera of Mr. Glass.  With styling from Ms. Cornchip and hair and make-up from HocusPocus, this latest StudioMG produced video is the last footage ever filmed at Fort Burnout.
